Tibet's Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarover have been foremost attractions for devout Hindus and Buddhists since time immemorial. Over the centuries pilgrims have been braving their way to Mt Kailash in order to attain spiritual enlightenment. According to Hindus beliefs, those who take a dip in Lake Manasarover and complete the parikrama (circuit) around Mt Kailash are absolved of their sins and liberated from the cycle of birth, life and death.
